Red eyes every morning

Waking up to face this crazy dream

I guess I'm moving too damn slow today

The world is turning much too fast for me

Outside my window I can see eternity

It's another red eyed morning

I'm slippin' back into my dreams

Sometimes I lie around all day

Waiting for the heat to pass

Sometimes I get that magic feeling

But it never seems to last

Look into the future

Through an hour glass

And the red eyes staring back from the mirror

Always get you when you turn your back

And I get to stumblin' round

Search the sky and the ground

Hands and knees trackin' an answer

I get lost inside myself a lot

Way down there I never had to wonder

What's real and what's not

Sometimes walking round in a dream

Sometimes feeling like I'm sitting right on top

Another daybreak

Light meets the water and I'm wide awake

One more heartache I feel the weight of my mistakes

Friends don't understand when they see that side of me

Won't you tell them if they'll listen

These red eyes won't get the best of me
