Sirens wail

They're killing the atmosphere

Shotgun blast across the water

Let me out of here

Her name is written on my suitcase

Incommunicado

One violet flower on a white white dress

Fighting weight and in their prime

Lucky and Carol Jean

Louise and Omar shredding time

Faces ring

Flash like bells on an Easter wind

All appear then disappear

Come back

Go away

Come back again

So I walked through those doorways

On the first day of December

Looking into the eyes of a stranger

It's not easy

It's not hard

Feel as a stranger in your own back yard

You've got to live with yourself unless you've got someone better

Or want to be somebody else

And do something about that condition

It's a take care to take care or it takes care of you situation

Waiting for you to understand mine

Could take forever and I have not got that much time

(The price of inspiration lies in taking risks and accepting the consequences of committing experience)

Pushing upward into an empty city

Pushing through darkness

Encounter no obstruction

No time for hesitation

Looking into the eyes of a stranger
